Even with a Super Bowl ring with the Kansas City Chiefs, Kadarius Toney is still salty about his departure from his former team.
Toney was the 20th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft to the New York Giants, but the marriage would ultimately end in divorce. Injuries were a problem for him often, and despite the front office trying to bring in a new and refreshing culture, things were simply not working out.
Toney was traded to the Chiefs in the middle of the 2022 season in exchange for mid-round draft picks after playing just 12 games for the Giants.
After the trade, he went on to record 21 receptions for 221 yards and three touchdowns over 10 regular and postseason games. He wound up getting a Super Bowl ring while the Giants bowed out in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Toney’s first NFL touchdown came with the Chiefs and he set a league record in the Super Bowl with a 65-yard punt return. In his three postseason games, he had seven receptions for 50 yards.
For Toney, the ring is not just a way to celebrate the 2023 season, it is also a way to dunk on his former team, the New York Giants.
During a recent appearance at a jewelry store, Toney made sure where to show the Giants where his Super Bowl ring would be going.

“I got the Super Bowl ring coming for this finger right here,” he said, throwing up the bird. “For everybody in New York right here. This is for everybody in New York right here.”
“I’m [going to] to the middle of New York with that middle finger up.”
Toney admitted he “loves trolling” but said it’s deserved because the Giants “be trying to troll me.”
If he can stay healthy in 2023, Toney could have a monster year with a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes tossing him the rock.
The Chiefs and Giants do not meet in the regular season in 2023 and that is such a shame.
