Justin Jefferson has a chip on his shoulder with something to prove in 2020.
During the 2020 NFL Draft, 21 players were selected before Minnesota Vikings took LSU wideout Justin Jefferson No. 22 overall and that bothers him. What bothers him even more is that four wide receivers had their name called before he heard his.
Appearing on The Zach Gelb Show, Jefferson said he believes he was the best receiver in the 2020 class, and felt it was “kind of a shocker” to fall where he did.
He then sent out a warning to those teams.
“I felt like I was the best receiver in this draft class, and being the fifth receiver off the board, it kind of was a shocker,” Jefferson said. “But also having that on my shoulder going into this next season with Minnesota, I’m definitely excited to show the world what I have. Every single person that picked a receiver instead of me are going to pay. I’m going to show them that I am the better receiver than the pick that they had… I’m definitely excited to go into Minnesota and [compete] for [a] Super Bowl.”
The Las Vegas Raiders chose Alabama burner Henry Ruggs III at No. 12 overall.

The Denver Broncos then took his teammate Jerry Jeudy with the 15th pick.
The Dallas Cowboys were next up to select CeeDee Lamb with the 17th.
Finally, the Philadelphia Eagles chose TCU’s Jalen Reagor, before the Vikings would bring in Jefferson to fill the whole left by Stefon Diggs after they traded him to the Buffalo Bills.
