Justin Jefferson took to Twitter on Wednesday to speak out amid the violence at the US Capitol.
The Minnesota Vikings star rookie wide receiver was overwhelmed by the scene at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. Things got taken up a notch when a young woman was shot and killed breaking into the building after the glass was shattered.
Jefferson had a blunt message for fans telling athletes to stick to their sport.
“Stop saying stick to football like that’s our only purpose on this earth. We (football players) have every right to speak on whatever we feel no matter the situation,” he tweeted.
