Justin Jefferson may be many things, but a liar is not one of them.
The Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver proved that much during a recent interview with Spanish NFL reporter Danilo Lacalle, as he was asked to name his top five quarterbacks in the league right now.
In most cases, a wideout would mention his own QB somewhere in there — even if it’s a bit of a stretch. And you’d think that would especially be the case for Jefferson, after Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins just helped him lead the league in receptions and yards in 2022, en route to Offensive Player of the Year honors.
But..NOPE! Jefferson decided to leave his teammate off his list COMPLETELY!
While Kirk Cousins and perhaps some of his Vikings teammates may feel offended by Jefferson’s list, practically every NFL fan seemed to appreciate the fact that the 2020 first-round pick didn’t play favorites when choosing his top 5 QBs:

The NFL community is clearly one that appreciates honesty, and that’s exactly what Jefferson gave them. While Cousins is a solid quarterback, and Jefferson surely could have tried to sneak him in there, it’s obvious that the 34-year-old signal-caller is NOT a top 5 QB right now.
I’ll be one of the first to admit that Cousins often gets the short end of the stick. No one ever seems to want to give him the credit he deserves. Not even his own wide receivers!
But when your resume only includes one career playoff win after so many years, you’ve simply got to accept the fact that you’re just not on the same level as guys like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Aaron Rodgers.
Sorry, Kirk! Maybe if you can push Justin Jefferson over the 2,000-yard mark in 2023, he’ll reconsider.
