After a hamstring injury kept Justin Jefferson out for two months, the star receiver returned to the field on Sunday, and then he was gone again.
He was lost again in less than half of the game when they played the Raiders after quarterback Joshua Dobbs found Jefferson over the middle for 15 yards on third down and he took a massive hit from Raiders safety Marcus Epps.
Justin Jefferson’s chest injury that forced him out early last Sunday won’t keep the Minnesota Vikings WR out of this Saturday’s game.
Jefferson confirmed he expects to play Saturday against the Bengals.
“I feel pretty good,” Jefferson told reporters Wednesday. “Just with the hit and the things that were going on after the hit, we kind of had to go into precaution and we had to evaluate what was going on with my body. It definitely was a tough period of time, of course, wanting to come back after seven (or) eight weeks and wanting to be part of the team, making plays out there. But with the situation and the circumstances that happened, I had to be taken out of the game.”
A hamstring injury had sidelined the three-time Pro Bowler for seven games before he only played in 13 snaps on Sunday.

While the Vikings managed to win their first five games with Jefferson out of the lineup, Kirk Cousins’ torn Achilles seemingly put this season in the dumps until Joshua Dobbs briefly kept the passing game afloat, but he has since come back down to Earth and has been benched for Nick Mullens.
At 7-6, Minnesota is holding onto the sixth seed in the NFC.
