The New York Jets were flying high when they came into Sunday’s contest against the Minnesota Vikings, but they would go down 27-22 at the hands of Kirk Cousins and company. One of the good takeaways that can be proud of during this game was the way they managed to hold down the Vikings’ passing attack below Minnesota’s season average.
Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was limited to 45 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven receptions despite getting 11 looks from Cousins.
Jets cornerback DJ Reed took pride in it so much that he talked crap about it after the game, claiming he was in ‘his shit.’
“Right now, I’m just frustrated because I did my thing,” Reed said after the Vikings’ 27-22 win, adding that he was in Jefferson’s … um … let’s say, his face the whole game. “But he ran one great route against me.”
“In what shit (laughing emoji) You can’t talk having safety help…call me when yo coach trust you to go 1v1”

Jefferson’s only catch of the second half gave the Vikings a 27-15 lead. The touchdown was the only time the Jets moved their cornerbacks, switching Reed to the left side of the defense across from Jefferson.
New York, which now slides down with a 7-5 record, has lost two of its last three games and three of its last five.
Things won’t be any easier next week they will be facing Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in Week 14 on the road.
