Justin Herbert had to come out of tonight’s game after this brutal head-shot from San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
Herbert was scrambling late in the second half when he got knocked around by a couple of Niners defenders, with the final blow coming from Greenlaw. The Niners star defender appeared to make helmet-to-helmet contact with Herbert, jarring his helmet halfway up his head and causing the Chargers quarterback to appear a little woozy.
Herbert was able to get up and wanted to continue playing, but he had to leave the game after officials forced him to the sideline to get checked out for a concussion.
As for Greenlaw, he was ejected from the game for the hit. Was it deserving of an ejection? You be the judge.
That penalty set the Chargers up for a field-goal at the end of the half, as they entered the half with a 16-10 lead.

It will be interesting to see if Herbert is able to return to the contest.
