Justin Fields does not like when Chicago Bears fans boo Andy Dalton.
With each passing preseason game, the Chicago Bears rookie quarterback wins over the fan base just a little bit more and Dalton catches hell whenever he takes the field. Such was the case on saturday when the team took on the Buffalo Bills.
The Bears were walloped by the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, 41-15. Dalton was greeted by boos several times as he trotted onto the field in the first half, as he managed just one touchdown drive.
As for Fields, he completed 9 of 19 passes for 80 yards and led the Bears in rushing with 46 yards on four carries.
The rookie quarterback had a message for Bears fans following Saturday’s preseason game.
“If Andy’s in the game, I’m going to be rooting for him and hoping we score 100 points,” Fields said on Saturday, via Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times. “The fans need to realize we’re on the same team.”

Nagy has always maintained Dalton will get the first shot under center when the regular season starts and he made that clear again on Saturday.
