Chicago Bears fans have reason to be excited about their new QB, because he is looking like the real deal.
Monday and Tuesday’s practice featured more deep balls than all previous practices combined. The rookie QB certainly showed off in front of fans.
“Justin Fields was good,” The Athletic’s Adam Jahns wrote. “It’s the velocity of his throws, particularly over the middle, but also how often he gives his wide receivers/tight ends a chance to make plays. His scrambling and ability to change his arm angle on throws stood out, too.”

According to Louis Riddick, the Bears rookie has impressed in a major way so far in camp.
“Not going to say how crazy good some of things I have been told about Justin Fields the professional have been thus far,” Riddick wrote on Twitter. “Don’t want to hear the “it’s only training camp” brigade puff up their chest and scream at the top of their lungs. BUT…it has been THAT good. Just sayin.”
A five-star recruit out of high school, Fields originally attended his home University of Georgia as a freshman. But after limited playing time behind Jake Fromm in 2018, combined with other factors at Georgia, Fields departed from the Bulldogs and transferred to Ohio State.
In 22 games, Fields threw for 5,701 yards, 67 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. A true dual-threat QB, Fields also rushed for 1,133 yards and 15 touchdowns for his career.
