NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport previously reported that Tank Dell suffered a dislocated kneecap and that “doctors are working to determine the damage.”
The damage was much worse.
On Monday, head coach DeMeco Ryans revealed that along with his dislocated knee cap, Dell also tore his ACL and suffered other damage.

While the team is enjoying having Nico Collins back, they are without Stefon Diggs for the season and will now have to deal with life without Tank Dell as well.
The second-year receiver went down in a heap of pain following a touchdown catch in the third quarter of Saturday’s game, holding his knee.
While he held on for the touchdown, Dell’s leg was caught underneath second-year receiver Jared Wayne.

He knew immediately that something was wrong. Dell was quickly ruled out after he was carted off the field with a severe knee injury.
The reactions of the Texans’ players appeared to tell the story as CJ Stroud was praying and in tears.
Dell had 51 catches for 667 yards and three touchdowns this season.
Life Without Tank Dell Is Going To be Rough
Tank Dell suffered a gruesome knee injury while reeling in a touchdown catch in the Texans’ Week 16 game against the Chiefs.
It was bad enough that the team lost Stefon Diggs weeks ago to a torn ACL, and things have just gotten worse.
Dell suffered a dislocated knee and also tore his ACL, and suffered other damage.
Nico Collins, John Metchie, Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods, and Jared Wayne are the remaining receivers on the 53-man roster in Houston.
