A 31-year-old Bowling Green, Kentucky man has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree burglary after robbing Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Julio Jones’ Buckhead house in Atlanta.
While Julio Jones now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the former Alabama standout still maintains a home in Atlanta, where he spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Falcons.
Police found Martin Williams wearing the clothes he stole from Jones.
“There were several items missing from the location, which included clothing and jewelry,” Atlanta Police Capt. Ben Vayens told WAGA-TV in Atlanta, “and also (the officer) did a great job taking a detailed description and providing a detailed description over the radio. …
“When he apprehended the male, he did have on one of his sweatshirts that were stolen from the residence, the exact description provided by the victims, and that helped lead to the arrest.”
Of the things stolen were clothing with NFL logos, Charles Barkley Shoes, A Watch and more.
Jones was traded to the Tennessee Titans in 2021 and released one year later, signing with the Bucs as a free agent in 2022.
