The Oakland Raiders aren’t the only team with problems regarding their star wide receiver.
On Thursday, there were reports that a deal between the Falcons and Jones was close, but it doesn’t look like those reports were even close to the truth.
Jones ended up speaking to reporters and stated that while he was dealing with an injury, he wasn’t sure he could join the team for Week 1 without having a new contract.
Those comments came after a reporter observed what he considered “bizarre” behavior from Jones during the portion of practice that was open to the media.

Both sides wanted to make Jones the NFL’s highest-paid receiver and the team seemed confident a deal would be reached, but so far, that hasn’t happened yet.
