Sam Darnold is already a pretty bad quarterback. But there’s something about Bill Belichick that brings out the absolute worst in the Carolina Panthers quarterback.
We all remember the infamous “I’m seeing ghosts” game from the 2019, when the then-New York Jets quarterback threw four interceptions against Belichick’s Patriots, while giving us one of the more memorable mic’d up moments we’ve ever seen.
Fast forward two years later, and although Darnold is wearing a different jersey, his old foe from Foxborough still had him seeing ghosts.
The Patriots defense stymied Darnold and the Panthers offense all afternoon, allowing only a pair of field goals and 240 total yards while picking off the 2018 third overall pick three times. It was pretty much another “Seeing Ghosts” game. And for those who forgot about it, former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was on Twitter to remind us all.
Good to see Edelman’s trolling game is still in fine form.
