Retired New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman has been too much fun since calling it quits as a player. Now that he is free from his former boss Bill Belichick, Edelman has been less afraid to share hilarious stories and impressions.
On the I Am Athlete podcast, Edelman recalled a time when the legendary coach caught wind of him doing an impression of him one too many times and had something to say about it.
“I just saw him recently. I went and visited the team,” Edelman said. “He was like, ‘Look, like, if I have to turn on the (expletive) TV and see you doing me every (expletive) day — like, what are we (expletive) doing here?'”
It was just last month when Edelman was on “All The Smoke” podcast and did his Belichick impression.
Edelman retired following the 2020 season and he has since revealed he still feared Belichick.

“I’m over here sitting on eggshells. I’m still scared of the guy, I don’t even play for him,” Edelman added. “He’s like the emperor or something, you know what I mean? So I walk in, I’m like, ‘Hey, coach. You know it’s all out of love.’ He goes, ‘Look, just shut the (expletive) up.'”
In April, Edelman announced his retirement from the NFL via his Twitter account:
For his career, Edelman appeared in 137 games for the Patriots and caught 620 passes for 6,822 yards receiving and 36 touchdowns. He also rushed for 413 yards while totaling 626 kick return and 1,990 punt return yards and four touchdowns.
