Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is among the most significant names heading into the free agency market this offseason.
After posting a career-high nine touchdown receptions in 2020, Smith-Schuster followed that up with a 13-catch, 157-yard performance in the Steelers’ postseason loss against the Cleveland Browns.
On Wednesday, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac claimed sources in saying that “Smith-Schuster would like to play in a major market where he could expand his off-field brand and burgeoning social-media presence”.
Pat McAfee discussed it on his show, saying “JuJu came out and said he wants to play in a major market to build his brand”, McAfee said. “Allegedly”, he quickly added, “these are leaks coming”.
Smith-Schuster saw that report and quickly dispelled it, saying, “sources tell me this is completely 100% false lol”.
JuJu’s 2020 campaign ended on a sour note as it was marred in controversy of him dancing on logos for Tik Tok and then him trash-talking the Browns before they came into Heinz Field and beat them.
