The JuJu Smith-Schuster era in Pittsburgh is truly coming to an end this offseaosn.
On NFL Network — NFL reporter Mike Garafolo indicated that the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver had told teammates he is likely to sign elsewhere for the 2021 season once free agency begins on Wednesday.
Smith-Schuster has come out publicly on numerous occasions over the last few weeks indicating he wants to stay in Pittsburgh, but he likely wants to get paid more than he wants to go back to Pittsburgh.
Smith-Schuster had 97 receptions for 831 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games last season. In the team’s one playoff game, Schuster had another 13 receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Smith-Schuster has 308 career receptions in just four seasons and has 97 catches or more twice. He will be a welcome addition to any team.
