Josh Dobbs was not expected to be much of a factor for the Vikings in Week 9 against the Falcons after just being acquired in a trade, but injuries changed everything.
The Minnesota Vikings traded for former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Dobbs and he delivered a victory in his first game following an injury to Jaren Hall which knocked Minnesota’s starting quarterback out for the game.
Fast forward a couple of days and now ESPN is taking major heat after posting an article about Dobbs.
The heat is coming over the article mentioning that he is Black and intelligent which is “rare” in sports.

Despite the asinine article by ESPN, Dobbs did a wonderful job last week in a game where he had zero preparation and virtually no familiarity with his new team as he led the Vikings to their fourth-straight victory to keep them within reach of the Detroit Lions who are 6-2.
In his first taste of action for the Vikings, Dobbs completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 158 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score on a six-yard pass to Brandon Powell. He also rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown.
Dobbs clearly possesses a different kind of poise, and will now have the opportunity to start for the remainder of the season for the Vikings.
