The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are already thin along the offensive line, and it appears as though they’re going to be without another lineman for the foreseeable future.
During the second quarter of the Bucs’ Christmas Day matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, left tackle Josh Wells had to be carted off with a knee injury and he was ruled out for the game almost immediately.
Footage of the injury makes it quite clear that this was a serious injury, as you can see his kneecap cave into his knee while trying to pass-block for Tom Brady.
Wells was in there as a replacement for usual starter Donovan Smith, so it looks like the Bucs will now be down to their third-string left tackle. That’s bad news when you have a 45-year-old quarterback.
