NFC East rivalries never take a day off.
Washington safety Landon Collins said recently that the Redskins were able to steal “the best quarterback” in the draft after the New York Giants opted to take Daniel Jones which paved the way for them to take Dwayne Haskins.
The choice to pass on Haskins was made by Giants General Manager Dave Gettleman, who has been scrutinized heavily for that decision ever since.
Josh Norman is a man who also has a history with Gettleman.
The Redskins cornerback’s career with the Carolina Panthers came to an abrupt end when then-Panthers GM Dave Gettleman rescinded Norman’s franchise tag and the team would release him.
During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Norman took a subtle shot at Gettleman’s decision making for the Giants:
“I think we need to put him on salary,” Norman said. “They need to protect Dave Gettleman at all costs in New York because he’s winning for us.”

Neither the Giants or Redskins have a good history of winning over the years as the Skis haven’t qualified for the postseason in Norman’s 3 years in Washington, while the New York Giants come into the 2019 season as one of the biggest laughingstock franchises due to their recent moves.
