Josh McDaniels might be headed out of New England sooner than expected following the New England Patriots’ Wild Card loss to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday.
The longtime Patriots offensive coordinator originally had his interview process scheduled for Friday, January, 10th. But, after the early exit from the postseason, the 43-year-old moved all his his interview times with the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Carolina Panthers to Monday, according to Michael Lombardi of The Athletic.
The Browns have been interested in McDaniels for years but have failed to connect at the right time, but now that the Patriots have so much uncertainty surrounding the franchise in 2020, this might be the perfect time to pry him loose.
His offensive genius could change the culture of the Browns that pose many talented players like Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward.
