An interesting trade proposal suggests the Los Angeles Rams could land a two-time Pro Bowl running back this offseason.
Josh Jacobs could possibly be on the move ahead of the 2023 NFL season. Last term’s rushing yards leader was not present at OTAs for the Las Vegas Raiders this month as he hasn’t signed a tender since the team franchise tagged him.
The running back posted a cryptic tweet last week, suggesting he could be considering extending with Vegas in light of the waning market for running backs. But, as noted above, he’s yet to sign the $10.1 million tag, though the Raiders have until July 17 to reach a deal.
The team could also opt to move on from the star RB, having picked Zamir White in the fourth round of the 2022 draft. They just might be of the view that they could get close enough to Jacobs’ production from the former Georgia star for a lot less money.
Should Jacobs be of a like mind, the Rams could become an excellent trade partner. That is according to Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton, who has suggested that the 2022 Super Bowl winners could restructure Aaron Donald’s $20.5 million contract as a means of acquiring Jacobs and keeping his new deal under the cap.

Moton reckons the Rams could get the deal done for a 2024 second-round pick as they could be tempted by the prospect of adding the Pro Bowler to an offense already boasting Matthew Stafford and Cooper Cup.
There’s also the prospect of beating the San Francisco 49ers to the NFC West title as their quarterback situation remains unclear.
