Tyler Bass is the sickest man in the country right now.
The Buffalo Bills kicker missed a game-tying kick late in the fourth quarter that led the Kansas City Chiefs to a 27-24 victory on the road.
Instead of possibly heading into overtime, Bills fans have to deal with another “wide right” game as the brutal miss reminded fans of the 1991 Super Bowl where Scott Norwood missed a 47-yard field goal.
After the game, cameras caught Josh Allen consoling his kicker as a leader should.
Bass finished the regular season and postseason with the lowest field goal percentage in his four-year career (76.5%).

Talking to reporters, Bass took the blame for the Buffalo Bills’ 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night after he missed a 44-yard field goal that would have tied the score with less than two minutes left in regulation.
“Ultimately, it’s completely on me. I’ve got to do a better job of getting through to my target,” the kicker said. “I’ve got to do a better job of playing it a little bit more left when you have a left-to-right [wind]. I’ve been here long enough to know that you have to do that. You know, I was trusting my line that I had in warmups. Hit a good ball, but it didn’t work out. I feel terrible, you know? I love this team and it hurts. This one hurts bad. Yeah, I’ve got to do a better job. Totally on me.”
The Chiefs will head to the AFC Championship Game for the sixth straight season, this time to face the No. 1-seeded Baltimore Ravens next week.
The Bills will once again head home after yet another playoff loss at the hands of the Chiefs.
