Injuries happen in the game of football, but they are the last thing you want to see during training camp…
Especially when they involve your franchise quarterback.
The Buffalo Bills are living that nightmare at the moment, as star quarterback Josh Allen was nicked up at training camp today.
According to reports, Allen was hit in the leg by a Bills pass-rusher and was forced to seek medical attention. He was said to have gotten the issue taken care of and returned to practice, but it was also noted that he continued to nurse the injury — to the point where wide receiver Stefon Diggs and GM Brandon Beane had to come over and check on him.
While this doesn’t sound like something that will keep Allen out for long (if at all), it’s still an added bruise that their quarterback will have to deal with — in a season where he’s likely to encounter many bumps and bruises.

The truth is, you never want to see your quarterback dealing with any sort of injury, especially this early into the season.
The Cincinnati Bengals know all about this, as they were dealt the ultimate scare when Joe Burrow was carted off with a leg injury over the weekend. Thankfully, it was just a calf strain and there’s hope that he’ll be ready for the team’s regular season opener.
Rough start for a couple of elite AFC quarterbacks. We’ll see if Allen’s latest injury causes him to miss any time as well.
