The NFL’s playoff overtime rules are among the worst in all of sports. Bills quarterback Josh Allen sent Twitter into a frenzy Sunday during the AFC Championship game over his one-word reaction to the Bengals losing the coin toss.
“Pain,” Allen wrote in tweet.
Allen and the Bills saw their Super Bowl dreams evaporate in a divisional round loss to the Chiefs last week after they squandered theri lead with just 13 seconds left. The Bills then lost the coin toss and the rest is history.
The Bengals scored 21 straight points in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game before a last-second Chiefs field goal forced overtime.
Unlike the Bills, they forced a turnover and marched down the field and won the game.
