A mic’d up Josh Allen was heard making a bold promise to Tua Tagovailoa following the Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins Week 18 game on Sunday.
The Bills (11-6) outlasted the Dolphins 21-14 on the road to lock up their fourth straight AFC East division crown and the AFC’s No. 2 seed. Allen’s squad will welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Round on Sunday.
With the loss, the 11-6 Dolphins finished as the No. 6 seed and will have to visit the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card Round.
After the game, cameras caught a mic’dup Allen telling Tua Tagovailoa, “We’ll see you guys again, huh? We’ll see you in a couple of weeks.”
With the Dolphins coming in as the No. 6 seed, there’s actually no way they’ll be able to meet the Bills in the Divisional Round. If Miami and Buffalo both win this weekend, the Dolphins would visit the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens, while the Bills would host the winner of the Houston Texans-Cleveland Browns clash.
While the Bills require just two home wins to reach the AFC Championship Game, the Dolphins will have to dethrone the defending Super Bowl champions and then take down the Ravens to get to the final four.
