Just how tense were things at the Buffalo Bills’ practice session on Tuesday?
So much so that the bickering continued while Josh Allen was speaking to the media to the point where he had to scream at them to stop it.
Matthew Bové of WKBW asked Buffalo’s star quarterback about the intense practice session on Tuesday. In the video clip below, you can hear plenty of background bickering going on, forcing Allen to scream “HEY” (at the 0:56 mark).
Heather Prusak of News 4 Buffalo reported that there was a “big fight” that involved Tyrel Dodson and Spencer Brown, with the former even swinging a helmet during the brouhaha. Prusak added that Allen screamed at Dodson to stop, and that linebackers coach Bobby Babich had to help settle him down.
It’s not at all uncommon to hear stories about players fighting in practice (individual team practices and combined practices). Coaches and players often downplay skirmishes and cite that it’s just the intensity and competition that causes the fighting.
