The Buffalo Bills ended camp in almost the worst way imaginable. The entirety of the city of Buffalo held their breath as their franchise quarterback with down with an injury.
This came after Ken Dorsey drew up a trick play. Specifically, the Philly special. Allen got rocked by Taron Johnson and stayed down on the field. Luckily, Josh Allen jumped up and ran over to his teammates and was smiling.
While speaking with the media, Allen admitted that he woke up the next two mornings feeling as though he had just played an entire NFL game.
“I got the wind knocked out of me pretty good there. I woke up the next morning… the next two mornings… and said, ‘Damn, it feels like I played in a game,'” Allen said, via NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano.
While training camp gets teams up to speed and ready for the preseason and then the regular season, injuries have already impacted teams across the league. No one wants to see them, but they happen and can turn a team’s season completely upside down if they have too many or big-name players go down.
The Cincinnati Bengals had their own scary moment with Joe Burrow in which he suffered a reported calf strain. Jalen Ramsey suffered a brutal knee injury that will have him out until December.

The focus from now on should be to protect Josh Allen at all costs. He is way too important to lose if the Bills want any chance to compete for a Super Bowl.
