Buffalo Bills star Jordan Poyer’s charity golf event is back on after being shelved due to sponsors pulling out for Trump-related reasons.
The safety had taken to Instagram to explain that the fundraiser was canceled because certain teams and sponsors were uncomfortable with the scheduled venue and walked back on their commitments as a result.
The event is set to take place at former United States president Donal Trump’s Doral course just outside Miami, which was the cause of some controversy. Both Poyer and his wife, Rachel Bush, expressed disappointment over the forced cancelation.
However, speaking to Sandra Smith on Fox News this Friday, Poyer revealed that it’s back on for July 10, with PublicSq filling in as the sponsor.
PublicSq is a marketplace seeking to connect “pro-America” shoppers and businesses.
“PublicSq is proud to partner with Jordan Poyer,” founder and CEO Michael Seifert told the New York Post in a statement. “We’re glad to see he’s standing against the cancel-culture mob that tried to shut down this charity event and we will always support freedom-loving Americans like Jordan whenever there is an opportunity to do so.”
