The Packers put up a good fight against the 49ers in the divisional round game and dominated to a point where they should’ve walked away a winner.
Former BYU linebacker Fred Warner and the San Francisco 49ers beat former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers. Jordan Love had his chance to lead a fourth career game-winning drive but a late-game interception would end it all.
Following the game, Warner and Love approached each other on the field and shared a moment of respect.
“So much respect, bro,” Warner told Love. “Proud of you, for real. Keep going, boy.”
Love responded with similar sentiments, but added that the 49ers to “go win it, man.”
The 49ers, who trailed for much of the second half in the game, retook the lead with 1:07 to play on a 6-yard Christian McCaffrey touchdown run that put them ahead by three.

Love’s previously mentioned interception stopped any chance of a comeback.
Love completed 21 of 34 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also had a QB rating of 72.4.
Warner, the 49ers All-Pro, had seven tackles, including six solo stops, and a tackle for loss in his 10th career postseason game.
Love threw for 21 touchdowns and just one interception in the regular season’s final nine weeks. He willed his team into the playoffs and then shocked the world by going 16 of 21 for 272 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Green Bay Packers’ blowout victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round.
The Packers crushed the Cowboys and became the first No. 7 seed in NFL history to win.
