The Minnesota Vikings could have a disciplinary issue on their hands as one of their rookies has been hit with a troubling citation, according to ESPN.
Jordan Addison, the No. 23 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, has been cited for speeding and reckless driving, with an officer clocking him at 140 mph on a 55 mph freeway just outside of St. Paul on Thursday morning.
“We are aware of last night’s traffic incident involving Jordan Addison and are gathering additional information,” the Vikings said in a statement.
Per the incident report, a patrol officer was heading east on Interstate 94 a little after 3:00 AM when they “observed a driver in a Lamborghini Urus traveling 140 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.”
The driver was identified as Addison after the vehicle was stopped.
Addison has missed most of the Vikings’ offseason program due to a minor injury. He is expected to compete for a role in the team’s three-receiver formations. While he was not arrested, the investigation is understood to be ongoing.
