Two teams have reportedly made offers for Indianapolis Colts’ star running back Jonathan Taylor, who requested a trade from the organization last month.
According to a report from ESPN’s Stephen Holder, six clubs “have inquired about Taylors availability”, while two “have engaged” with trade offers.
“The situation remains fluid, and it is unclear whether a team is willing to meet the Colts’ trade demands, which have been described by sources as being a first-round pick or a package of picks worth similar value.”
Holder previously reported that the Colts were eyeing a first-round draft choice or “picks that equates to as much” for the 2021 rushing champion. Taylor requested a trade following a meeting with team owner Jim Irsay last month, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Taylor is entering the final year of his rookie contract. He led the NFL in rushing during the 2021 season with 1,811 yards to go along with a league-leading 18 rushing touchdowns. Taylor missed six games last year but still tallied 861 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

As a rookie in 2020, Taylor rushed for 1,169 yards and 11 touchdowns. His efforts helped the Colts to the postseason, but they were eliminated in the AFC Wild Card Round by the Buffalo Bills.
For what it’s worth, the DraftKings sportsbook lists the Miami Dolphins as the favorites to land Taylor at +250, followed by the Chicago Bears at +400 and then the Baltimore Ravens at +700.
The Colts will open their 2023 season with a home contest against the AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 10 at 1:00 p.m. EST.
