Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has shared a cryptic message to his Instagram suggesting a move could soon be on.
Taylor, who has requested a trade following what we can assume was a sour meeting with team owner Jim Irsay, is on pretty bad terms with the Colts right now. Apart from his frustrations over their failure to offer him a reasonable extension, the RB was upset by reports obtained from someone within the organization claiming he has back issues.
The former Wisconsin star finds himself on the wrong side of a battle that has really heated up this offseason and it appears something might be up given his IG post, which you could see right below.
Is Taylor suggesting that a move might be on? Who knows? What is known for sure is that he wants out.
The 24-year-old is in the last year of his rookie deal, having rushed for 1,169 yards in his first year as a pro. He led the league in that department with 1,811 yards in 2021 and has been the team’s most productive offensive player over the past three seasons.
You’d think the Colts would jump at the opportunity to reward that, but Irsay is among owners who no longer appreciate the running back position given how easy it is to replace such players no matter how good they are.
