Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor wants out and his current team wants a good deal for him.
After a highly publicized fallout with the Colts, the 2021 rushing leader requested a trade. He was somewhat granted that trade request this week, when Indy gave him permission to seek a suitable partner by next Tuesday.
If Jonathan Taylor is going to get traded, it’s almost certainly going to happen at some point over the next few days and that’s because the Colts have imposed a deadline for a possible deal to happen.
This week, it has been reported that the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears are expressing interest in trading for the running back.
When the Colts granted Taylor and his team permission to seek a trade, the Dolphins immediately were the first team reportedly showing interest. It remains to be seen if they will put together a deal to make it happen.
Teams trading for Taylor will have to pay up. The Colts are seeking a first-round pick or a package similar in value.

On top of that, it’s likely the team acquiring Taylor will have to sign him to an extension or make some sort of deal to increase his guaranteed salary for 2023.
