The Arizona Cardinals are entering the 2023 NFL season with a ton of obstacles to overcome.
For starters, their roster is terrible. And it’s not like their front office has shown any desire to change that. Rather, they seem more interested in shipping out talent at the moment, rather than brining it in. They’ll also be without their starting quarterback for much (maybe even all) of the season, as Kyler Murray continues to recover from an ACL tear he suffered last season.
On top of all of that, the Cardinals will have to learn to adapt to a new head coach… And that could be difficult, given how awkward head coach Jonathan Gannon can be at times.
Take his recent motivational speech to his players, which was recorded and aired for the Cardinals’ behind-the-scenes documentary called “Flight Plan,” which airs on YouTube.
During the speech, Gannon asks which players drove to the stadium, and which players took the bus. Then, somehow, he transitions that into a question about whether the players have “fire” in their gut.
Needless to say, there were more than a few clueless faces among the Cardinals players.

NFL fans saw the footage and immediately began to cringe.
That last fan is calling for a 2-15 season from these Cardinals…
I’d say he’s being a generous by a couple of wins there.
