The Washington Commanders defensive tackle is being praised online after a single picture showed off his new helmet and visor while he was at practice.

Allen has been a crucial part of the Commanders’ front seven as he poured in 7.5 sacks last year and was named to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season.
Allen made his first Pro Bowl in 2021. Allen recorded 62 tackles, including 10 for loss, nine sacks, and 30 quarterback hits.
The Washington Commanders had a tumultuous 2022 season, going 8-8-1 and finishing in last place in the NFC East largely due to issues at quarterback.
The 2023 season is not looking any better behind center. The Washington Commanders could have repositioned themselves in the first round for a quarterback or even stood pat and taken Kentucky’s Will Levis, but they chose to take Emmanuel Forbes 16th overall and essentially doubled down on QB Sam Howell, a fifth-round pick who threw just 19 passes as a rookie in 2022.
Based on the NFL schedule’s release, the Washington Commanders have a fairly difficult schedule in 2023 so it remains to be seen if he could be the guy going forward.
