The Oakland Raiders had finally had enough with Antonio Brown and released the star wide receiver over the weekend in a move that shocked, but not really shocked a lot of people.
The release came less than 24-hours after the team fined Brown which voided his $30 million that was guaranteed in his contract. That made Brown head straight to Instagram and ask the team for his release, and 3 hours later, they gave him his wish.
Raiders coach Jon Gruden, who heavily vouched for Brown throughout the entire process, didn’t have much to say when Brown found his way on the Patriots, but he did wish him the best.
He was also asked about the taped phone conversation that Brown posted on Friday in some sort of hype video and that’s where he dropped a Khalil Mack joke:

The Brown era in Oakland lasted all of 182 days and he never played a single game, not even in preseason.
