Antonio Brown’s antics in Pittsburgh have mst certainly scared off potential suitors who don’t want to deal with the extra stuff that comes with his immense talent, but it hasn’t for the Oakland Raiders.
Jon Gruden is a man who tends to like Brown and what he brings to the table as he stated back during Week 14 when the Raiders were getting set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“The greatest thing about this man is, I’ve told all our receivers: If you get a chance to watch him practice, you’ll see what unlocks the greatness in him. He’s the hardest working man, I think, in football,” Gruden said. “Hardest working player I’ve ever seen practice, and I’ve seen Jerry Rice, I’ve seen a lot of good ones. But I put Antonio Brown at the top. And if there’s any young wideouts out there, I’d go watch him practice and you’ll see for yourself why he’s such a good player.”
Gruden’s comments are a big difference from the many reports of what is being said about him as the franchise finds the right deal to finally ship the all-pro out of town as he has requested.
After trading away WR Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys, the Raiders could badly use a #1 WR on the team.
