Johnny Manziel has gotten yet another chance to resurrect his career after he agreed to sign with the Alliance of American Football.
The former Heisman trophy winner was claimed by the Memphis Express and could desperately use the help since the team is 1-5 on the season.
On Monday, Manziel was spotted rocking his Express jersey during his first official practice with the squad.
“We are pleased to welcome Johnny Manziel to the Alliance of American Football, which we’ve always described as a league of opportunity for talented players to launch or revitalize their pro football careers,” co-founder and head of football for the Alliance, Bill Polian, said.
Added Express GM Will Lewis, “I’ve always viewed him as a viable option, so we’ll look into that situation and see how that works out for us.”
A few weeks ago, Manziel was cut from the entire Canadian Football League on Feb. 27 after the league says he violated the terms of his agreement that allowed him to play there.

It has been reported that Manziel signed a standard three-year $250,000 player contract.
Memphis has already lost QB Zach Mettenberger to an ankle injury and had benched the season starter Christian Hackenberg when he struggled early on in the season.
