Johnny Manziel is no longer on football fields these days as he decided against joining the XFL. Not like he would be playing right now anyway, because of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the 28-year-old still has a large platform on social media and is using it for something positive.
The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and No. 22 overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft recently posted a message on social media to speak briefly on the COVID-19 outbreak sweeping through the United States.
“If I can stay out of the club anyone can quarantine.”
Manziel was a regular at bars and clubs throughout college and his early NFL career, which ultimately added to why he would eventually be cut from the Browns and out of the league ever since.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath can surface 2-14 days after exposure to the coronavirus.
