Johnny Manziel’s career in football has steadily gotten worse over time. The former Heisman winner went from the highest of highs in college football, to possibly being the next big thing with the Cleveland Browns, to being released by the team.
That ultimately led to a short tenure in the Canadian Football League where he did something that caused the league to ban him from playing there ever again. From there, he took his talents to the Alliance of American Football where he would only play two weeks before the league folded.
Now that he isn’t playing any football at the moment, it gives him time to practice on his craft…not really, he’s doing auto insurance commercials now.
The 22nd pick in 2014 NFL Draft is fully expected to try out for the XFL once it rolls around in 2020 and that is likely going to be his last chance to prove himself to try in get back into the National Football League.
What a fall from grace.
