John Wall finally made his way back to the court after a string of injuries derailed his career. Unfortunately, what could’ve been a contending team with the Houston Rockets was broken up after James Harden forced his way out of town.
The Houston Rockets finished 17-55 last season, a record Wall would not like to be part of next season.
Back in May, the veteran point guard watched a Clippers playoff game at Staples Center alongside the parents of Paul George. On Monday, he used his Twitter account to “like” a proposed trade sending him from Houston to Los Angeles. I think we all can connect the dots here.
The Clippers can certainly use a point guard after it was exposed as a huge weakness during the 2021 playoffs.
Despite his injury history, Wall is still a major upgrade over Patrick Beverley. The rebuilding Rockets are on the cusp of selecting Jalen Green or Jalen Suggs with the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NBA draft. Either could be paired with Kevin Porter Jr. in a backcourt of rising stars.
