Everyone Is Loving The Special John Madden-Themed “Turducken” Coin For Thanksgiving Day Pregame Coin Tosses (PIC)

John Madden sits down to eat Thanksgiving dinner.

The NFL found another beautiful way to pay tribute to the late John Madden for this year’s slate of Thanksgiving games.

For the pre-game coin tosses in today’s game, the NFL is using a Madden-themed coin. The “heads” is a silhouette of the Pro Football Hall of Famer, and “tails” is a “turducken”, the meal Madden made famous during his days as a commentator:

Madden frequently showcased the turducken dish during his time as an NFL commentator, beginning with a 1996 game between the St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints.

The beloved NFL icon passed away at the age of 85 on Dec. 28, 2021.
