You might disagree, and I’m sure there a lot of you, but Joe Namath truly believes Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever grace a football field.
The New York Jets legend, who famously won Super Bowl III after guaranteeing that his team would take down the Baltimore Colts, made these comments during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show Monday morning.
“Tom is the best; I’ve been asked that question for many years,” Namath told Stern. “Tom has been challenged more in recent history, certainly, with huge games than anyone I can recollect. He stepped up every time… I have not seen Tom Brady lose a game for his team.”
Namath lauded Brady for continually “answering the challenge” in big games.
As for Brady, the 2019 season will be his 20th in the NFL and he will be 42-years-old when Week 1 kicks off. No matter how this upcoming season ends, Brady is expected to play at least one more season after signing a contract extension.
