A video of Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco went viral on “Thursday Night Football” when he appeared to be sleeping during the contest.
Flacco had another impressive outing on Thursday night against the New York Jets, throwing for 309 yards on just 19 completions and three touchdowns en route to a 37-20 victory. With the win, the Browns (11-5) are headed to the postseason for the first time in three years.
The “Thursday Night Football” crew asked Flacco about his apparent attempt to nap while on the sidelines. The Super Bowl 47 MVP cleverly laughed it off and said, “Our offense was boring me a little bit, we weren’t doing a good enough job.”
Flacco deserves a very good night sleep after improving to 4-1 as Cleveland’s starting quarterback to lock down a rare playoff berth for the franchise.
