Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco is back in the playoffs and is in a position where he’s really thrived throughout his career.
The quarterback has come in to aid the team’s fortunes, firing them to the postseason following the loss of Deshaun Watson, and he’s going to receive a significant sum should Cleveland beat the Houston Texans this afternoon.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that the veteran QB is in for a cool $250,000 bonus if the Browns win their Wild Card game due to his contract restructuring.
Given his record, he is well-placed to do that. Flacco has never lost a Wild Card fixture and is 5-0 on that front; a win would see him move past Brett Favre for most wins in the round. It would also see him move past Tom Brady for most playoff wins on the road as he’s currently at seven.
History’s certainly on his side. We’re about to see whether he can take advantage of it.
