One of the worst moments of the 2020 NFL season was rookie QB Joe Burrow going down with an ACL injury that effectively ended his season early.
On Monday, the team released their new uniforms, completing a process the team has teased for months after wearing the same set since 2004.
“Our fans have wanted new uniforms for many years, and today represents the start of an exciting new era in Bengals history,” Bengals director of strategy and engagement Elizabeth Blackburn said in a statement. “Our new uniforms are bold, sleek and iconic. We designed them to be recognizable and timeless, like the Bengals helmet.”
In the midst of dropping videos and photo, there was one picture that showed Joe Burrow with the new threads on while seated with his legs crossed. The picture visibly showed off his surgery scar.

Burrow had surgery to repair the injury on Dec. 2. He plans on being back for the 2021 season opener in September.
“That’s been the goal for me from the beginning. They say it’s a nine to 12-month recovery and the first game is exactly nine months from my injury. We are on pace to do it right now,” Burrow said in January. “There is obviously a long road ahead and there are opportunities for setbacks along the road, but as far as right now, it’s looking as good as it could for where I am at in the rehab process.”
Through 10 games with the Bengals, Burrow threw 2,688 yards, 13 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
