Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow found a clever and crafty way to troll the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
Burrow, renowned for his slick and fancy pre-game outfits, kept it simple with a shirt that ready “Sorry in advance.” He entered this game with a perfect 3-0 record against the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs.
The Bengals haven’t been shy in offering some funny troll jobs leading up to the AFC Championship Game. During last week’s Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills, Mike Hilton referred to Arrowhead Stadium as “Burrowhead.”
Last year, the Bengals stunned Mahomes and the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, sending the franchise to its first Super Bowl appearance since the 1988 season.
With a victory, the Bengals would become just the third AFC team to reach consecutive Super Bowls since the 2005 season. The New England Patriots reached three in a row from 2016 to 2018, and the Chiefs won the 2019 and 2020 AFC Championship Games.
The winner of Sunday’s game will meet the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl 57.
