Good news, Bengals fans. Joe Burrow is looking healthy.
The 2020 first overall pick suffered a brutal knee injury midway through last season. And while some believed the injury could jeopardize his 2021 campaign, it looks like the Cincy quarterback is going to be fine and ready to go for week 1, based of this bit of footage.
During Bengals OTAs, Burrow was spotted dropping back before launching a 60-yard bomb down field during one drill.
This is great news for the Bengals, who will be relying on their franchise quarterback to carry this team for years to come. From the looks of it, and based off initial reports, it seems as though he’ll be full-go for week one of the upcoming 2021 season.
Burrow was having himself a very impressive rookie season before suffering the season-ending injury. And the Bengals added another weapon to his arsenal when they drafted Ja’Marr Chase fifth overall. Now they just have to hope that their wonky offensive line can keep Burrow upright and healthy for the duration of an entire season. Easier said than done.
