Cincinnati Bengals fans should be able to breathe easier as Joe Burrow is stepping up his recovery by taking to the practice field without a sleeve, though his teammate Ja’Marr Chase might be a bit worried.
The quarterback was outside this Friday, with the Bengals preparing for their preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers, and went about things like he will be playing.
Though there’s no way he will be suiting up, Burrow went through his usual pregame routine, progressively throwing passes up to 50 yards and running some sprints, all while without a sleeve on his injured calf.

His workout on Friday was his first in front of the media and he didn’t look at all out of sorts.

Chase, though, has revealed having urged his teammate to sit out until around Week 5 to ensure he’s at 100 percent when he does return.
He just might be concerned about the QB possibly catching the feels from being out of the field and getting tempted to rush his recovery.
