Fans are daring Joe Burrow to return ASAP amid hand troubles following his exit from this week’s TNF fixture vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
Burrow left the game in the second quarter and did not return after appearing to fall on his right hand, which is believed to have already been injured as the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was seen wearing protective gear on the appendage when he arrived in Baltimore. The NFL is understood to be investigating the Bengals over their failure to list the player on their injury report.
Team head coach Zac Taylor spoke to reporters after the 34-20 loss and suggested that the QB could miss several games given that the problem is with his throwing hand.
Fans are now goading him after someone found an old tweet from 2017 in which he made some bold claims. Burrow was still at Ohio State and had just broken his hand during summer camp when he posted the following to the platform now known as X:
“If Jon Snow can return from the dead after getting stabbed in the heart… I can return from a broken hand.”
This is, of course, a reference to HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’. And, given the latest developments, it’s been doing the rounds online again today.

Burrow was unable to suit up at the start of that season, returning to make 11 passes. His college career really took off when he transferred to LSU, where he won a national title in 2019 before going on to become the first overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Bengals would hate to lose the QB for an extended period as they are in serious danger of missing the playoffs at 5-5 following Thursday night’s game.
